Yes. By prepaying your storage, you can lock in today's monthly rate for up to 2 years (24 months) — even if our standard prices go up later. This is available whether or not a promotion is running, and if there is a promotion, you can enjoy the discount on top of your locked-in rate.
No long contracts — just optional price certainty
BEAM Space never ties you into a long-term contract. By default there's no deposit and no minimum period: you're billed monthly and you can stop storing whenever you like.
Prepaying is simply an option for customers who want price certainty. It locks in your price, not you — think of it as protecting your rate against future increases while keeping the flexibility BEAM is known for.
How the price lock works
Choose how far ahead you'd like to prepay — from a few months up to 24 months.
Your monthly rate is fixed for that entire period. If our standard prices rise during that time, yours won't.
It works with or without a promotion:
No promotion running? You still lock in today's rate for the period you prepay.
Promotion available? You get the promotional discount as well — for example extra free months, or a discount on your pickup / moving fee — on top of your locked-in price.
Why customers choose to prepay
Protection from price increases. Our published prices can change over time; a prepaid rate stays the same for your whole locked-in period.
Better value with promotions. Many of our best offers (such as "prepay 6 months, get 2 free," or a discount on your moving fee) are unlocked by prepaying. Promotions usually apply to storage of 3 months or more.
Simple, one-time payment. Settle it once and you won't need to think about monthly card charges during the prepaid period.
Great for longer stays. Ideal if you're moving overseas, renovating, studying abroad, or storing business inventory and want a predictable cost.
Everything else stays the same
Prepaying doesn't change what you get. You still enjoy included insurance, an itemised digital inventory with a photo of every item, and door-to-door pickup and delivery — all managed in the BEAM Space app.
Good to know before you prepay
Prepaid months are non-refundable. If you move out before the end of a prepaid period, we aren't able to refund the unused months — so choose a duration you're comfortable with.
You can upgrade anytime. Need more space during your prepaid period? You're welcome to move up to a larger plan whenever you like.
Downgrades aren't available during a prepaid period. You can't switch to a smaller or lower-priced plan until the prepaid period ends.
